Welcome to our first week of Wednesdays with Wendy!!! We are so excited to share with you our new blog series. So here’s the deal, each Wednesday we will choose an interior design related topic for Wendy to cover. This can range anywhere from floral wallpaper to organizational tips to backyard pools.
This week’s topic is…
Metallic tile adds shine to create a reflective surface that brightens a space. Metallics can transform any ordinary wall into a polished and chic feature.
Water jet is a technique used to create unique, intricate design work into a piece of tile. A water jet tile pattern can help achieve a certain aesthetic for a space (ex. Moroccan, vintage). Water jet looks fabulous as a mosaic rug.
Natural stone is a great element to use to create an organic feel that adds warmth to a space. Stone provides layers of texture that gives visual depth to a wall, floor, or backsplash. We especially love natural stone in bathrooms for a spa, zen-like feel.
Mosaics can be laid in an array of patterns for an interesting accent. We love laying mosaics in an offset and herringbone pattern. Mosaics are also a great way to incorporate a pop of color into your space.
